This page is devoted to providing links to individual family trees, beginning with an individual in County Monaghan and extended to present day.  Accordingly, I will list title each tree with the name of the individual from whom everyone descends and list also the town from which that person comes.  In addition, I will list the email address of the person that provided the information and the questions they are researching.

Owen MacMahon – provided by Sandra Bennett [email protected] who wants to know:  I am currently searching for information about Patrick MacMahon and the name of his father.  Notes handed down to me have indicated that it may be “Owen”.  Patrick actually lived for sometime in Castleblayney near Abbeyleix.  Patrick’s son, Thomas MacMahon, had a son, Thomas Bernard MacMahon who fought in the American Civil war as a Lt. Col. from Wisconsin.  There is a Hugh MacMahon who converted sometime before Patrick.  Long ago there was a Hugh MacMahon ancestor who raided the British repeatedly and was eventually captured and executed.  There were also 2 bishops who were betrayed and killed by the British.  I’m not sure when the spelling was changed to McMahon.   It was changed back to the original MacMahon after the unearthing of the monogrammed family silver.   Thank you for any information.
